About your WHOLE Health team

Our reason for being is to educate each generation to optimise their health on every level. We connect and heal your body, brain and mind, so you can create and live a life you love!

If that sounds like a mission statement, it’s because it is. Those 35 words are very much the vision and purpose of Bounce Matters and our WHOLE Health approach.

We trade in hope and healing, working with people who have often lost all hope. We’re dedicated to exploring every aspect of your life to find the right path back to the best version of YOU.

We call this WHOLE Health, and within our clinic we have cutting-edge treatments like Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT), which has been shown to provide a wide variety of positive physiological and biochemical improvements in many conditions.

We also have VieLight technology to restore the power stations in your brain, and WHOLE Health nutritional blends to support and maintain a healthy system. Jo Grabyn, our founder, is one of a handful of health professionals in Australia qualified to use the Bredesen Protocol to tackle the onset of early Alzheimer’s disease and dementia (see below).

Will our treatments be relevant for you? We won't know until that initial 15- minute telephone conversation to make sure that Bounce Matters is the right fit for YOU. But whatever your health issue, we promise that we won't sugar-coat anything, and we will never give up.

Meet Jo Grabyn, founder Bounce Matters

I believe more than a little bit in destiny. I grew up in a family with health issues that were never properly resolved by the doctors. And I had my own health problems — with hormonal issues, migraines, anxiety, digestive and eating disorders.

My dream as a child was to grow up to help people with their health. I didn't, of course. Like most people, I got side-tracked from what I truly wanted to do. I travelled, I moved overseas, I got a job in finance for a global shipping company in South Africa. I worked for an IT/stockbroking firm in London. Words like ‘mergers’ and ‘credit derivative trading’ started attaching themselves to my CV.

I realised I couldn’t crunch numbers during the day and study health at night. There was too big a gulf between them. I gave up the finance job and started working for companies in health food, then medical nutrition, as a stepping stone while I qualified in Nutritional Medicine.

Then my health failed me. I suffered chronic fatigue twice. I began studying with doctors and specialists in nutrition. I fixed my health and finished my degree to start practising on the weekends.

Today, I practise full-time as a Nutritional Medicine Specialist. I help people get to the bottom of their health puzzle by developing and tweaking treatment plans that incorporate their health and life as a whole, while respecting and working with each client as an individual.

I have a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional Medicine), and I am a qualified yoga teacher and yoga therapist. Along with neurolinguistic programming (NLP), I studied psycho-neuro-immunology (PNI) and psycho-neuroendocrinology (PNE) to understand how our thinking creates and changes brain chemistry, affecting our hormones, immune system, digestive system, and in turn, our health as a WHOLE.

In July 2016, I qualified with L.A. based neurologist Dr Dale Bredesen, author of The End of Alzheimer’s and developer of the ReCODE (Reversing Cognitive Decline) and MEND (Metabolic Enhancement in NeuroDegenerative Disease) programs. This qualification makes me one of the first in Australia able to use this method to tackle and reverse — or prevent — the onset of early Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

In October 2017, I began annual training with Integrative Medicine for Mental Health, and then Brain Health Coaching with Dr Daniel Amen of the Amen Clinics, both in the USA. I began my certification with the Institute of Functional Medicine early 2018 and continue these studies today.
